The Deity Reading

The following shows the exact reading that she received, paired with her thoughts.

The reading starts with the following:

“The first deity is Gaia, the Earth Goddess and Mother Goddess. She is associated with birth and creation, nature, fertility, magic and prophecy and abundance. She will open your mind, heart and spirit farther to keep letting inwards your own self and spiritual awareness, and find your true illuminated light and grounded security in your internal foundation to keep flourishing. She will help you stay of a connected consciousness to the natural world’s vast gifts, resources and beings, and grow your creation energies, skills and abundance in life through fertility, nature, creativity and wealth. She will further your natural practicality yet sensitive sides of yourself, and grow your intuitive clarity, trust and precision of interpretations without overthinking or being scattered, and foster your balance, harmony and peace from within to self-care and protect and nurture yourself, things and those you care for. She will assist you to find greater healing, inspiration and grounding from the essence of nature, and in grounding any inner confusion, conflict and resistant blockages, and not fall to lost, stuck or wavering senses. She will help you wield your strength, creative skillsets and instincts to channel your energy in a positive and productive manner whilst appreciating the wonder of nature’s embrace and your own being to find, strengthen and maintain your sense of enlightened fulfilment, gratitude, abundance and inner peace in your ongoing discovery journey.”

This resonates well, she wants to be more open in mind, heart, and spirit. She wants to learn, explore, and find her way. Never had she thought Gaia would be that way, but it was interesting to ponder. Her partner happened to have a large tattoo of Gaia on their thigh, one she very much liked tracing with her fingers. Perhaps Gaia liked the attention? She chuckled to herself.

The second leg of the reading touched on another deity that she had not considered deeply, but peaked her interest regardless:

“The second deity is The Morrigan, the Great Queen and Goddess of war and fate. She is also associated with ghosts, prophecy, fate, knowledge, destiny and fertility. She is also a shape-shifter and known to have taken the form of a wolf, raven, crow, an eel, a red-eared heifer, and other disguises. She will draw out greater your natural dynamic free-spirit, and help you think and act independently and individualistically, and keep tenacious and resilient to overcome and learn from life’s challenges. She will develop your spiritual, magickal and prophetic knowledge and insights, and refine your natural sensitive instincts to be more receptive to the energies and stimuli in your situations, others and surroundings. She will fuel your self-empowerment and decisive certainty, and guide you to develop your self-identity, wisdom, inner strength, courage, and balance your temperance. She will expand your clarity of mental-processing and heart’s intuition and help you keep calm, reflective yet self-starting and ambitious. She will fuel your positive self-transformations to prevent any uncertainty, negative impulses, and inhibiting thoughts and beliefs and keep being and expressing your authenticity freely and inspiredly without any repressions. She will help you take steps out of your norm and comfort zone to reach your visions, and stay committed and fearless to live fully.”

This was sounding promising. She was struggling with staying in her comfort zone…she needed self-empowerment. Yes, The Morrigan, she could see it.

The final deity reading left her in a state of surprise. Of all the deities that fall under the Pagan umbrella:

“The third deity is Cernunnos, the horned God of animals and the underworld, and associated with power, magick, abundance and fortune, death, fertility, nature and the hunt. He is often associated as the Green Man, and his symbols include antlers, snakes, wild animals. He will bring out greater your true duality within your sensitivity and tenacious driven vigour, and help you keep pragmatic to take each step forward to explore the boundlessness of your inner and outer environments and rise to new horizons and evolutions. He will deepen your connection to the essence of nature, wildlife and creatures, and ease your insights and skillsets into spiritual and magickal practices. He will help you in protection, grounding and further your natural inquisitive and imaginative mind, and grow your protective instincts, perceptive intuitive gut feelings, willpower and practical resourcefulness to draw on the resources available and form your effective solutions. He will help balance your mind and inner self to help ground any overbearing nor vulnerable senses and rigidness, and end negative cycles to help you see the finer details along with the bigger picture. He will also guide you in his governing areas of fortune and abundance, and help you keep stimulated and inspired to follow your sparks and instincts to progress in your personal life’s adventure without any bounds.”

She was a bit dumbstruck by this last reading. She had named and highlighted Cernunnos. She had been drawn to him, he was the god of animals, her calling. If it had ended there she may have gone back to her old life; to the wife, mother, daughter, weekday worker, the nothing-to-write-home-about middle-aged woman with no plans for her future, no spark in her eye, and no desires to find her destiny. Yet it did not end there…in fact, her transformation had only just begun.
